This workshop will educate clergy and laity on how to do ministry for aging adults and the terminally ill. The first half of the workshop will address the spirituality of seniors, how to determine their spiritual needs, and provide spiritual care. Moreover, we will discuss how to give spiritual care for aging adults suffering from dementia. The second half of the workshop will focus on the spiritual care for the dying. We will discuss how to do a spiritual assessment and render spiritual care for the terminally ill. This workshop will be extremely helpful for clergy and laity who minister to nursing home residents, senior Church members, elderly parents, and hospice patients.
