Dr. Samuel White, III is a native of Rochester New York and the son of the late Samuel White II and Anna White. Dr. White graduated with honors from Brockport State College with a Bachelor of Science degree. He went on to graduate from Harvard Divinity School with a Masters of Theological Studies degree and a Masters of Divinity degree from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio. He completed his educational pursuits by achieving a Doctorate of Ministry degree from Drew University. He has been an adjunct professor at the Ecumenical Theological School, Mary Grove College and William Tyndale College. Dr. White has been the recipient of numerous civic and religious awards. He was awarded Minister of the Year Award from the Business Womens Association, the Rev. Charles Hill Award from the Michigan Progressive Baptist Convention and The Presidents Outstanding Service Award from the Progressive National Baptist Convention. Dr. Whites greatest honor is to be married to the former Sandra Wilson and be the father of Alexandria and Samuel IV.He is currently the senior pastor of the Friendship Baptist Church and a Hospice Chaplain for Henry Ford Health System. He is a preacher, counselor, teacher, revivalist, motivational speaker, leadership trainer, grief group facilitator and writer.
